Unfortunately, the habit can be really damaging to a young smile &#8212; maybe even worse than it is for your own teeth. Remember that school-aged kids and early teenagers should be getting from 10 to 11 hours of sleep every night. Waking up a little earlier in the days leading up to school\u2019s start can make it easier when the big day finally comes. To help make it easier for your little one to fall asleep earlier at night, make sure they stay away from caffeine and sugar in the late afternoon and evenings. Try to limit screen time before bed, too.
