Understanding How Dental Insurance Works
When it comes to your health, dental insurance is a great supplement, but it should not dictate who you choose as your provider or what quality of care you are able to get. That's why we accept all insurances. When you call or email to schedule your appointment, just provide one of our friendly and knowledgeable staff members with your insurance information and we will verify your benefits for your convenience. After your appointment, we will also submit your dental insurance claims on your behalf.
What Your Dental Insurance Plan Covers
Every insurance plan is different, which is why we strongly urge patients to verify their specific benefits either directly through the provider or with the help of our team before committing to a treatment plan. However, most offer coverage that fits into the following guidelines:
Essential preventive care (like biannual checkups and cleanings) is covered at 100%.
Minor restorative care (which typically includes tooth-colored fillings and root canal therapy) receives partial benefits of anywhere from 70%-80%.
Major restorative care (including dental crowns, bridges, and dentures) receive partial benefits of anywhere from 50%-60%.
Purely cosmetic treatment (such as veneers or teeth whitening) does not receive any monetary benefits through most plans.
